Share Your Bounce Back Story
Issue 1: Meet Saint Micheal
Addiction. Recovery. The fight to bounce back — in his own words.
You made it through something. Somebody else needs to hear it.
Bounce Back Stories is where real people talk about the worst stretch of their life and what it took to come out the other side. Addiction. Loss. Prison. Divorce. Rock bottom in whatever form it showed up. No filter, no cleanup, no pretending it was pretty.
We started it because that is what this whole company is built on. Every board we make gets pressed under weight until it holds a curve. Pressure did not ruin it. Pressure is what gave it spring. People work the same way.
Who we want to hear from
Anybody who has been knocked down and is still standing. You do not have to be finished. You do not have to be a year sober, fully healed, or on the other side of it. If you are still in the fight and telling the truth about it, that counts.
You do not have to be a customer. You do not have to skate. You do not have to be a writer.
What to write
Say it however it comes out. If you want a starting point, these help:
- What knocked you down?
- What was the moment things started to turn?
- What did it actually cost you, and what came back?
- What would you say to somebody sitting where you were?
Two paragraphs is fine. Ten is fine. Rough is fine — we will never publish anything without running it past you first.
How it works
- Start your message with BOUNCE BACK STORY so it does not get lost, then send it through the form below with your name and email.
- We read every single one. Tony or Myles will get back to you.
- If it is a fit, you sit down for an interview with Chloe Gifford — the same interview that produced Saint Micheal's story — and your story gets featured right here on the site.
- We will talk about photos, edits, and how you want to be named — full name, first name only, or a nickname. Your call.
- Nothing gets published without your okay. Do not include anything private you would not want shared.
Before you write
If you are in crisis right now, please reach out to someone who can help immediately — call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call SAMHSA's free, confidential helpline at 1-800-662-4357 for substance use support, 24/7.
Real people. Real recovery. Real bounce back. Tell us yours.
